Most Wednesdays during the academic year (excluding Reading Week, exam periods, and holidays), 12-5pm. I have "Open Door Wednesdays", where visitors can stop by to say a quick hello! This is not meant to be like office hours for more involved questions and discussions (please make an appointment instead in that case) --- if I cross your mind and you just want to say "Hi Ai", please stop by! Visits from former students encouraged!

How should you address me?: Anyone (including students) can call me by my first name (Ai); that's my preference! If you're uncomfortable with that, you can call me Dr. Taniguchi or Professor Taniguchi. Please don't call me Ms./Miss/Mrs. Taniguchi; it creates a rude implicature when you call someone by their marital status and gender when you know that they have an academic title.
